You must return the campervan on the agreed day according to your booking. You need to arrive within branch operating hours and no later than one hour before closing time to allow us time to process your check-in before closing.
You must make sure your fuel tank and LPG bottle is full before you return your campervan. The fuel gauge must register as full and you must leave a receipt for the LPG bottle in the front seat showing that it has been filled within the last 24 hours. Additional charges will apply if this hasn’t been done. If you have purchased the Pre-purchase Gas Option, or the Refuelling Pack, then don’t worry - just bring everything back empty!
Yes. Please ensure that your waste water tank and toilet cassette are emptied at an authorised dump point prior to returning your campervan. You can find your closest one on the thl Roadtrip App. If you are staying at a Holiday Park or campground you will have access to a dump station there.
If you would prefer that we empty the toilet cassette and waste water tank for you on drop-off (selected branches), consider purchasing our Cleaning Pack. With this Pack, we'll:
- take care of the 'end of hire' vehicle, cabin and bathroom cleaning (simply return the vehicle neat and tidy) and
- empty the toilet cassette and waste water tanks for you, if you are returning a camper with a toilet to the following locations:
- AUSTRALIA - Adelaide, Brisbane, Cairns, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth
- NEW ZEALAND -Auckland, Christchurch or Queenstown.
You can add this to your booking at any stage before drop-off. Just give us a call.
No. Vehicles must be returned to the branch during branch operating hours. We request that customers collect or return their vehicle at least one hour before closing time.
Please ensure that rubbish is thrown away, the floor has been swept and that your campervan does look tidy before you return it. If it’s not returned in a respectable condition we may charge you a cleaning fee.
Please remember that smoking in your campervan is not permitted and that a cleaning fee may apply to any smoking related cleaning.
For maui vehicles, pets are not permitted in your campervan and so a cleaning fee may apply to any animal related cleaning.
Please leave any extra hire items on the front passenger seat of your campervan so that we know you have returned them safe and sound. Chairs and table should be left inside your campervan (at the rear of the vehicle).
